Research on age-related macular degeneration is occurring all over the world to better understand the disease to one day find a cure.

The main research types are:

1-Epidemiology to better understand the causes that can lead to the beginning of the disease; and

2-Research of new treatments

ARDMLA will fund new research grants every year.

ARDMLA’s advisory board will review every grant application and choose projects that have a better chance of leading to major discoveries.
